Another life down the drain

...when something could have been done had it been done sooner.

This Red-tailed hawk had a fracture of the upper third of the humerus and COULD have been repaired by a vet that knows what they were doing. Instead, since she didn't have the capability, she just kept the bird for THREE WEEKS and then called me because when she finally took it out to let it flop around, it couldn't fly. (BIG SURPRISE)

Instead of this veterinarian calling me IMMEDIATELY to come and get this bird, she held onto it, hoping this overlying fracture would miraculously repair itself. No. Sorry, It doesn't work that way.
