Well I pray that he will recover. If he can't recover, can you or Carolina Raptor Center use him as educational tool? I realize that you cant' save them all, but he seems like he would be a good candidate for educational purposes. Thank you for your prayers and kind words as well...I believe that's our job to be good to each other and help those that can't help themselves...like Stacey and your other birds ( feathered humans that's what I call my chickens and ducks and geese) If I beat this stuff I'm coming to see you and your birds.

If indeed he does have cataracts, we'll have to wait to see how they progress, as US Fish & Wildlife Service will require me to put him down if his sight diminishes to the point that he cannot see well enough to find his food. It's a quality of life thing... :(
